Parole/Probation Officer

Parole/Probation Officer:

The parole/probation officer is specially trained in the behaviors of sex offenders and utilizes a variety of tools to assist in enforcing the offenders supervision conditions.  The parole/probation officer determines supervision strategies based on the outcome of a variety of risk assessment tools that determine the offenders risk to reoffend within the community.  The parole/probation officer enforces all supervision conditions as ordered by the court, Local Supervisory Authority and/or the Board of Parole and Post-Prison Supervision. They provide ongoing communication and support to the treatment providers and polygraph examiners and monitor the offenders compliance within the community through unannounced home visits.  The parole/probation officer provides final decision on issues relating to sanctions, travel permits, family meetings, and ‘contact’ with minors/victims.
