Environmental Health

The Environmental Health Division's mission is to protect and enhance the health of the public and the environment through the application of scientific principles, education, and environmental laws and regulations.

Environmental Health Specialists inspect food and lodging facilities, day cares, aquatic facilities, and other institutions to ensure safety and sanitation. They conduct soil evaluations and inspect onsite septic systems. Additionally, they manage waste and recycling programs and monitor drinking water systems to ensure they meet safety standards.

Our team consists of Christina Tisdell, Environmental Health Supervisor and Oregon Registered Professional Sanitarian, assisted by Justine Bova, Registered Environmental Health Specialist.
